Michelle Kang, Founder & CEO

Michelle Kang, a first-generation Korean American who immigrated to Georgia in 1992, is a devoted mother of three daughters, trailblazing small business owner, and dedicated public servant. She earned her Master of Public Administration from UGA and began building cultural bridges—launching the Rice Festival in 2010 at Stone Mountain Park and founding Suwanee’s first Asian Festival in 2023. Her mission is to celebrate diversity and create a society where every voice is valued.

In Gwinnett County, Michelle has served on numerous civic and advisory boards, blending entrepreneurship with tireless community advocacy. After the 2021 Atlanta spa shootings, she co-founded the Atlanta Korean American Committee Against Asian Hate, forging cross-racial unity to confront bigotry. In 2024, she ran as the Democratic nominee for Georgia House District 99, determined to represent all people—regardless of their story, origin, or language spoken at home.
